1) Humanitarian Aid: Where there are needs, and we can demonstrate unconditional love, SWAM makes use of the opportunity. We are always looking for ways to minister to people and society in their total need, body and soul, present and future.

2) Medical Missions: Missions-based health care stands out as one of the best examples of holistic ministry. Althoug SWAM is not actively involved in AIDS related work, we do however have certain guidelines to follow.

3) Development: We like to address specific community needs like education and ongoing famine and poverty in some of the areas. This includes many things like goat farming, digging wells, planting trees etc.

4) Justice and Reconciliation: In a world filled with injustice, God also calls Christians to action of putting things right.

It is also essential to have a good understanding of cultures and cultural differences, therefor being part of the local communities for 30 years makes it a natural process for us.
