Missions ?

At SWAM we belief

Missions is not only the most pivotal issue in our Bible but is also God's most visible involvement on earth.

The question is; Why are many people not really interested in missionary work? Answer according to Douglas Webster; The lack of knowledge! The extent of Christian ignorance to what is happening in the world and church is alarming.

Because Missions is such an important and integral part of our Scriptures and beliefs, it would not be possible to only point it down to a few authoritative verses. That way Missions will just stand in line together with all the other good deeds we should perform.

Therefor

1 Corinthians 9: 19 Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Conclusion

In the words of missionary and physician Dr Albert Schweitzer; " I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know, the ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve"
