WHAT WE DO

We belief in the constructive role the local church can play through society and communities in our region. Our goal is to be a support mission, providing much needed resources to local congregations. To meet the emergent needs of fellow believers in our region by exemplifying Christianity to others by acts and deeds patterned after Scriptures, and that of the Good Samaritan.

We belief that God can through SWAM bring much needed resources to our region. Our partnership with the local church is aimed to be a visible symbol of Hope and Love in the communities we work with.

We also recognize our responsibility to North American Churches and would like them to be encourage and blessed through reaching out to Christians in the SWAM region. This relationship is never a "one way traffic". Although the Church in Africa need serious charity from the West, North Americans again experience the revival of Christianity's root emphases on healing and comfort because of the poor and oppressed who embraced the redemption promised in the Gospel. Indeed the West can only marvel at the sight of these giants of faith and when one experience the inner strength the Lord bestows on those who reach out to Him during times of hardship.

In North America we operate -as an interdenominational missions organization.

Our Three Part Mission includes:

Besides poverty, hunger and crime which is propbaly the three three biggest challenges to our region, we also take note of the devastating effects of HIV / AIDS and the challenges that Land Reformation in southern Africa holds in.

It is important for us to address all these issues because in a world filled with injustice, we are called to action of putting things right. Therefore we belief that silence or inaction should no longer be an option for us.

We are also constantly liaisioning with government and UN officials as well as other NGO bodies and congregations for coordination of different activities in our region.
The idea is to be a symbol of unity and hope as we attend to those in need in our region. Although our first priority is fellow believers, irrespective of origin, race, age, gender or language we do whatever we can.

Unfortunately there are some obstacles in the way. Your assistance can actually help us to serve and to help those affected in our region! Contributions are tax deductible in Canada and can be mailed to the White Rock office:

When disasters or need occurs across the world the question is quickly asked: Where were the church and what did "they"do?
Too often we forget who "they" are and we need to be reminded, it is me and you, we are the much needed hands and feet of the Church
